McKids is a student-run organization which supports the Ronald McDonald House of Durham on Duke’s Central Campus through fundraising and volunteering. There are wonderful volunteer opportunities each week for students at the Ronald McDonald House itself as well as in their Family Room at the Duke Hospital, both of which are classified as “volunteer” or “clinical experience.” To learn more about these opportunities or to sign up to volunteer please visit www.mysignup.com/mckids or email our volunteer chair at mlr27@duke.edu.
Thank you!

For years now, the CAPS Mindfulness and Meditation class has filled up, with students not being able to get in. Now, we’re offering a Drop In Meditation and Mindfulness Class on Thursdays at 5:30 in Room 217 Page Building.
The class is open to all Duke students. If you’ve taken one of the Introduction to Meditation classes at CAPS or elsewhere, this will be a great place for you to develop your skills further and get yourself back in the habit of regular meditation practice. If you’ve never meditated before and are just curious to see what it’s about before enrolling in the intro. class, drop in and check it out. You do not have to register; just show-up any Thursday at 5:30!

Does your group travel for events, performances, tournaments, conferences, or socially? Take a moment to fill out a quick (5 questions) survey about student organization travel so that we can better support your group’s activities.
BTW, did you know that Duke has a travel waiver that you should use when traveling to reduce liability?
