Hi Everyone!

Welcome to Duke from RLHS! We’ll be using this blog to keep you up-to-speed on various housing topics. For the moment, what’s probably on your mind (and definitely on ours) is where you’ll be living next year.

Applications were due Friday, June 6th. We have begun processing the applications that are in so far, and we’ll keep checking for late applications as we go. In the next few days we will clean up the data, contact anyone whose application didn’t make sense (you say you’re a smoker but you also want to live in the Wellness Community, etc.), and begin assigning people. It takes a while to process all of the assignments, and once they’re done, we spend a few days checking things to make sure everything came out all right. You can expect your assignment to be available on DukePass around June 25th.

If you want to change your application, you still can try, but keep in mind that we download the data and work with it both inside and out of the database, so there is no guarantee that a preference you submit after the June 6th deadline will be taken into account in your assignment.
